Stella is another "member" of the Pearson family. She was created several years ago and was lovingly nurtured to where she is today. Mike has spent endless hours caring for her and he has literally shed blood, sweat, and tears in her behalf. Stella is Mike's Mustang racecar that he restored from the frame up.
Up until a few weeks ago, Stella had to sit in the garage...there was always something stopping her from running. Recently, Mike and his friend Ryan were able to get Stella started...Mike was so excited! Needless to say, when Stella is running, our entire house shakes. I don't know all the specifics, but I know she has a lot of horsepower and is super fast.
Mike recently made the decision that Stella will need to go to another home. He decided that since he never takes her to the racetrack, it would be better to sell her and invest in a different activity (four wheelers). So, if anyone you know has a secret desire to be a racecar driver let us know...we can hook you up!

Happy Birthday to You!
Mike celebrated his 28th birthday last Thursday! Although he had to spend the majority of his day at work, he was able to leave a little early and relax. For his birthday dinner, I got take-out from The Pie (I ordered Mike's favorite pizza - pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives). After dinner, both of our families came over for cake and ice cream. Mike was so excited because not only did he get his favorite dinner, but he got his favorite cake: the All-American chocolate cake from Costco. That thing is huge! If you like chocolate cake, I recommend it, but you definitely need a house full of people to eat it.
Anyway, I gave Mike tickets to go see Sting and the Police this summer in concert...he was very surprised. Faline gave Mike a few movies, and she even signed his birthday card. All in all, I think that it was a good day, and Mike seemed to have a lot of fun!
Oh...we learned that Faline is afraid of mylar balloons. I brought some home for Mike and she can hardly stand to be around them. She barks at them and then runs away!

Go Jazz, Go!
Last Friday, Mike and I had the opportunity to go see the Utah Jazz play the Houston Rockets in game 6 of the playoff series. This was our first trip to a playoff game, let alone one with such significance, so we were stoked that we got tickets. We doubled with my sister, Beth, and her boy (dare I say boyfriend?).
The game was great! Our seats were in the upper bowl, but we were behind the basket, so I feel like we still had good seats. The energy in the arena was crazy intense! Fans were chanting, cheering, and booing...it was probably the loudest game I have been to.
Fortunately, the Jazz pulled away with a victory, which advanced them to round two of the playoffs. Mike and I have definitely watched more games this year and have become bigger fans. We are watching with excitement and nervousness as they face the Lakers. All I can say is "Go Jazz, Go!"
