Here ya go…
Seven random things about me:
1. My favorite “sweet” sugar is Lucky Charms; however, the only way that I eat them is by eating all of the grain/cereal pieces first and then saving the marshmallows for last. And of course…no milk.
2. My mom claims that as a toddler, my ambition was to grow up to become a purple pig…I have no recollection of this…thank heavens I grew out of that phase!
3. During high school, Angie and I went through a phase where we loved the “Wedding Planner”. We went to the movie at least three times in one day while it was playing at the dollar theater and would sing the soundtrack aloud at the top of our lungs.
4. I LOVE Disney (especially the Disney-type stuff from my youth). I love to visit Disneyland, one of our bathrooms is done in vintage Mickey Mouse, and I love to watch the old Disney cartoons.
5. I love the South-eastern part of the United States and I would move there (to the Carolinas or Tennessee) if I had a good reason.
6. During my first semester of college, I got pretty sick with the stomach flu. I had to take a test, so I decided to suck it up and take the test as quickly as possible. While I was in the testing center, I had a horrible wave of nausea and threw up all over myself. Amazingly enough, I got one of my highest scores on that test.
7. I went through a phase where I stayed up late (until 2:00 – 3:00AM) watching Nick at Night and crocheting a blanket.

Painting Party
I finally convinced Mike that at least a few rooms could be painted - as long as I did the grunt work. I chose to paint the kitchen/family room area and our bedroom. The kitchen area is a yellow/mustard color, and the bedroom is a dark tan. I was able to pretty much finish the kitchen Friday night, so that I would have all of Saturday to work on the bedroom. Fortunately for me, Mike couldn't stand to not make comments while I was painting our room, so he ended up helping. You can see from the picture, he got a little creative...:)
It is definately nice to have more color in the house and I think it turned out well. If you want to see the end result, you'll have to come on by and check it out!
P.S. I know that I have been tagged twice within the past week and I promise I am not ignoring you. I will participate soon!

The Dunes

So I never really got into traditional sports like basketball, football, and baseball, but thought operating fast machinery always counted as a sport. This past weekend, my brother Trevor and I went to the sand dunes which is about 50 miles west of Nephi. I have always loved going to the dunes. I used to ride a Honda CR500 motorcycle but decided to tone it down with a 4-wheeler. My brother Trevor has been learning to ride this year and he absolutely loves it. The first few times on a 4-wheeler were a little iffy for him as he biffed it going over a sand dune. I just remember him flying over the handle bars and him doing summer salts down the sand dune. He looked like the Sand Yeti when he got up. Since then, he has learned to master the machine and is able to maintain control. The last few visits, I wanted to teach Trevor how to climb Sand Mtn which is a sand dune about 500 ft high. For a first timer it instills fear. He made it up his first try and made me proud!

Trev going for it! (He's on the right)

A view from the top of Sand Mountain - You can see the parking lot below. Its so small!

Fall Festivities!
Watching "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"
(I know, I know, a little childish, but I honestly look forward to this every year)Making homemade chocolate chip pumpkin bread
Enjoying all the scents of autumn...pumkin, spice, I love them all!
Participating in the Halloween festivities at my work...they really go all out
Mike dressed up as Bono (he is not wearing his costume in this picture) and I dressed up as a "wild child". We had a great time at Ashley and Taylor's party...the evening started off at Red Robins and then we went back to their new house to have some fun. We played Curses and had several rounds of Guitar Hero World Tour. There was delicious treats and good times! I am so glad that Ashley decided to make this a tradition!
There were a few things that I didn't get to do, so they are already on the list for next year: going to the Corn Maze, visiting Gardner Village, carving pumpkins...better luck next year!
