The Dunes

So I never really got into traditional sports like basketball, football, and baseball, but thought operating fast machinery always counted as a sport. This past weekend, my brother Trevor and I went to the sand dunes which is about 50 miles west of Nephi. I have always loved going to the dunes. I used to ride a Honda CR500 motorcycle but decided to tone it down with a 4-wheeler. My brother Trevor has been learning to ride this year and he absolutely loves it. The first few times on a 4-wheeler were a little iffy for him as he biffed it going over a sand dune. I just remember him flying over the handle bars and him doing summer salts down the sand dune. He looked like the Sand Yeti when he got up. Since then, he has learned to master the machine and is able to maintain control. The last few visits, I wanted to teach Trevor how to climb Sand Mtn which is a sand dune about 500 ft high. For a first timer it instills fear. He made it up his first try and made me proud!

A view from the top of Sand Mountain - You can see the parking lot below. Its so small!
