Happy Valentine's Day
Happy belated Valentine's Day! Valentine's Day was actually pretty quiet at our house this year. We decided to stay in and watch "Secretariat". Mike and I went out to eat and celebrate on Wednesday, and that is the way to do it! It was easy to get a babysitter, and best of all, there was no waiting at the restaurant we went to.
This isn't the best picture at all, but we were trying to take a picture of Jaxson on his first Valentine's Day. My mom bought him a little Valentine's outfit that says "Future Mr. Right". He looked pretty cute!

Jaxson Update
I just wanted to post a quick update on Jaxson...I can't believe how big he is getting! We recently moved him from sleeping in our room in the bassinet to sleeping in his crib in his own room, and he is doing great! I love to hear him waking up in the morning, because he is always cooing and just so happy.
Jaxson also loves to play! He LOVES "head, shoulders, knees, and toes"; this is usually the easiest and fastest way to see him get a big smile on his face. He also loves to watch Jazz basketball games...seriously, he will be fussy, but as soon as he sees that basketball is on TV, he calms down and gets really happy.
We took Jaxson in for a routine check-up and for his immunizations, and he did great! He weighs 11lbs, 15 oz and is 24.25" long. So basically, we have a long, skinny baby. Jaxson was such a champ when he got his shots, too...he stopped crying as soon as they were over and I picked him up. Even the nurse was amazed at how well he did! He is such a fun baby and we are so happy to have him in our family!

Happy New Year!
Wow, I can't believe that it is already 2011! We hope that everyone had a happy new year! We decided to head down to St. George to spend the holiday weekend with Mike's family. It was so nice to get away...even if it was freezing! At least we got to see blue skies and sunshine! :)
This picture was taken in Mike's dad's backyard. It is kind of hard to tell because the background is a little washed out, but they have no neighbors behind their house. It was so beautiful because there was nothing to see except for desert.
Jaxson turned two months old yesterday. I can't believe that he is getting to be so big! It is crazy how fast the past few months have gone by.
This picture shows Jaxson trying to sit up in his bumbo. His head is still a little wobbly, but he is definitely starting to get stronger.
Jaxson was all smiles when we were getting him ready for bed last night. I am so fortunate to have such a happy baby!

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! We hope that everyone has had an amazing day...we sure did! We felt so blessed to be able to spend Christmas with Jaxson - it was so fun to spend his first Christmas with him! We were able to spend time with each of our families, and it really was such a great day.
Here are a few pictures from our day, in no particular order:
Our little family on Christmas night...we were at my parent's house and getting ready to head home. That explains why Mike and I look so tired!

These two pictures were taken at Mike's grandma's house. He was wearing his cute santa outfit, and I loved how he looked in his santa hat. Jax was a good sport to wear it while I took a few pictures.
Here is Jaxson on Christmas morning. We had to wake him up, but he quickly fell back asleep for most of the morning. I am guessing there won't be too many more years of that!

One Month Old
As of a few days ago, Jaxson is officially one month old. I can't believe how quickly the time has passed! He is really starting to develop his own personality and is still such a good baby. He is starting to sleep longer at night, he can roll from his side to his back, and he loves to smile. He was really happy and smiley this morning after he ate, so I thought that I would take a few pictures:

Blog Challenge, DAY 30!!!!
I have FINALLY made it to day 30!!! This challenge took WAY longer than it should have (more like a 60 day challenge?), but I am glad that I stuck with it and it is done.
Today's challenge is to write about a dream for the future. I decided that the dream I wanted to write about is to stay home with this guy:
I will have to go back to work in January, and I am not looking forward to it. Don't get me wrong...I love my job, but I really love staying home with Jaxson. It is going to be hard to go back to work, even though I will just be working part time. Hopefully one day I will be able to stay home for good!
P.S. Jaxson and I went with my mom and sister to Gardner Village today. They have it decorated with elves, so we decided to pose for a picture. :)

Go Utes!
As you can see, Jaxson is already becoming quite the Utah fan. One of Mike's coworkers gave us some Utah onesies and made him this cute Utah quilt. We figured that the Utah-BYU game was the perfect time for Jaxson to wear his stuff, and by his expression on this picture, I am sure that you will agree...

Our family was so excited that Utah pulled off the win. I know that there was some controversy with the game, but isn't that how it always is with a good rivalry game??? :)
