Mike and I had a very unique and special opportunity on Tuesday night. The Deseret First branch that Mike works at had not yet been dedicated since it opened last December. Because the credit union has some affiliation with the LDS church, they were able to have Elder Richard G. Scott of the Quarum of the Twelve Apostles dedicate the building.
The dedicatory service was private - there were probably no more than forty people there. The program was very simple and lasted no more than thirty minutes, but it was still an amazing experience. You can always feel the spirit so strongly when you are in the presence of an apostle and I love to hear what they have to say.
After Elder Scott dedicated the building, Mike and I had the opportunity to visit with him for a few minutes. Even though our conversation was brief, it was still a memorable experience. I know that all apostles are in tune with the spirit, and my conversation with Elder Scott definately reaffirmed that to me.
I will post some pictures of the evening once we get them from the credit union...
